Tears of Joy Theatre Group show held at the Imago Theatre

Mark was honored to exhibit at the Imago Theatre in Southeast Portland from April 2-12.
The Native-American artist group show was a continuation of the show held at Concordia
University, with different pieces exhibited. The "Tears of Joy" theatre puppeteers performed
"Raven Stories" from Pacific Northwest coastal tribes of Western Canada and Alaska. Ed
Edmo(Shoshone-Bannock-Nez Perce) was the playwright and storyteller of the performances.
According to Native myth and legend, the Raven was a "trickster" who, through various exploits,
created the sun, moon, and stars. Five-thousand children from infants thru fifth-grade attended
the performances. Five classes from Chief Joseph Elementary School anticipated viewing Mark's
portrait of Chief Joseph, that was included in the exhibit.
